The jobs exist. What's usually missing is knowing where they are, who's hiring, what to say, and what to ask for. Appt Jobs closes that gap: a personal job strategist that brings the right opportunities and the resources to act on them straight to you.
Read all about it here.
I started Appt because I believe unemployment in Nigeria isn't mainly a competence problem: it's an information problem.
People don't stay jobless because they're underqualified. They stay jobless because they can't reach the right information and connections at the right time. The jobs exist; what's missing is knowing where they are, who's hiring, what to say, and what to ask for. I learned this the hard way: early in my career I low-balled my salary in an interview simply because I didn't have the information I needed, and it cost me. Multiply that one gap across millions of job seekers, and you see the real shape of the problem.
Appt exists to close that gap and level the playing field.
It started, of all places, in a WhatsApp group built for football banter. I'd come across roles that suited friends in the group and send them over. Soon the job posts were flooding the chat, so I moved them into people's DMs, tailored to each person. One night my data subscription ran out mid-conversation, and a friend paid for the next batch without me even asking. That was the moment I realised people would pay for this. What began as a favour became a mission.
I ran it manually at first (broadcast lists and spreadsheets), then automated it as it grew, registered the company, and brought in technical help. Today Appt Jobs Limited is building something far bigger than a job board.
Appt is your personal job strategist. Rather than leaving you to scroll endless listings, Appt delivers tailored job alerts and the career resources to act on them: interview tips, study materials, CV and cover-letter guidance, and career counselling. Onboarding is about nine simple questions, not a long form, and you can use Appt across several channels (chatbot, web, and email, with WhatsApp being one of them), so it meets you wherever you already are.
What works for you is different from what works for the next person. A graduate breaking into a new field, a professional pivoting their career, a senior person climbing the ladder: these are completely different journeys that need completely different strategies. Most platforms hand everyone the same feed and wish them luck. We don't. Tell us why you're looking and how you want to work, and Appt points you to the strategy that actually wins for you.
And yes, the job search is a numbers game. Appt just plays it well, and plays it smart: volume where volume works, warm intros where relationships matter, and visibility where being found matters.
Appt is built to be a lifelong career partner, not a one-time alert service. The vision runs from a national employment and career-development platform in Nigeria, to a pan-African presence, to an economic institution that helps tackle a systemic, SDG-scale problem.
I'm building a solution to a real problem, not just a business.
